Slim Picture Maker - User Guide
Slim Picture Maker (slimpicture.com) is
an interactive photo slimming tool that allows you to make
a slimmer version of your own photo.
The tool is
free to use and has no usage limits.
Most importantly, the Slim Picture Maker allows you to view and modify your photos in
total privacy because your images are
not uploaded
to the web server. All processing takes place
in the web browser of your device.
Therefore,
only you can access and see your images as a result of
your interaction with the Slim Picture Maker.
The functions of the Slim Picture Maker
Although similar visual effects can be produced in multiple steps in various photo editing
programs, the interactive Slim Picture Maker eliminates the learning curve and makes
all its functions easy and intuitive.
The purpose of seeing a slimmer image
The Slim Picture Maker can serve as a slimming tool that may help you
visualize your goal.
When you reduce the width of your photo by a few percentage points, the Slim Picture Maker
may
give you an idea of how you could look after losing a few pounds.
You may be curious to see an image that
resembles your goal.
The purpose of seeing a wider image
You can also see a wider image, which surprisingly may turn out to be
even more useful. It may allow you to realize and
fully appreciate how great you look right now. Perhaps you don't need
any weight loss programs or diet plans. We often tend to put
ourselves under
unnecessary pressure.
Why is the range of the Slim Picture Maker limited to 20%?
The range
from -20% to +20% should be more than sufficient.
Any image altered more than 10% may begin to look less realistic. Therefore,
try to reduce the width of your photo by
only a few percentage points
(for example
4% or
5%) and you will see
a more realistic image that may resemble a more realistic goal.
What is the name of each new file saved with the "Save as a new photo" button?
In most browsers when you click or tap the
Save as a new photo button,
the Slim Picture Maker saves your modified image in your
Downloads folder
(accessible in the
Files app on mobile devices)
using the following file name format:
sp-
yyyy-mm-dd-at-
hh-mm-ss-
minus-
nn-percent.jpg
OR
sp-
yyyy-mm-dd-at-
hh-mm-ss-
plus-
nn-percent.jpg
The Slim Picture Maker always comes up with
a unique file name
(containing the current date and time) in order to create a new photo file.
The file name also shows the percentage change applied to the width of the image.
The names and locations of the newly saved files are explained in more detail
on the
FAQs page - please see
Question 1 and
Question 2.
Also bear in mind that you can always rename any photo file that you have
already saved - please see
Question 3.
Why is the Ideal Weight Calculator included in the website?
The
Ideal Weight Calculator
can be considered related to the purpose of the Slim Picture Maker
and may be of interest to our visitors.
It is
an interactive body weight calculator based on
the Hamwi formula.
